Our Story

Duo EnPassant — violin & cello chamber duo

Classical chamber music · Estonia · International performances

Duo EnPassant violin and cello chamber duo

Duo EnPassant brings together violinist Merily Leotoots and cellist Anna Ryland-Jones. The ensemble is centred on classical chamber music for violin and cello, with concert performance at the core of its artistic work.

Before establishing Duo EnPassant, Merily and Anna performed together in chamber ensembles and at festivals across Estonia, Finland and the United Kingdom. Their first meeting took place in Estonia, where a natural musical connection quickly developed.

The collaboration began in Estonia and developed through shared chamber-music projects.

Both musicians are alumni of London’s Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where they studied at different times. Duo EnPassant grew from their continuing collaboration and a shared aim to develop repertoire, programmes and a distinct musical identity as a violin and cello duo.
